TLC obtains rights to new IP technology (primarily patents and patent applications) which will in the future become invaluable to the television industry. This licensed technology is often ahead of its time but within a few years will become highly desirable in the manufacturing industry. TLC's license philosophy is to initially license this highly desirable technology at a discount to those manufacturing companies having the foresight and vision to recognize the value of the technology. After a base of visionary licensees is established, TLC continues to license, without discount, to those companies who have failed to recognize the value of the technology in its early stages. Later for those companies who come to need the technology after the market has matured, TLC licenses at a premium. Finally, for those companies who fail to license and unscrupulously copy the licensed technology from their competitors who had the foresight and vision to sign up to licenses early in the life of the technology, TLC in cooperation with one or more of its affiliated law firms, will vigorously enforce its patent rights against those unscrupulous infringer. |
